The Manaslu Circuit is the connoisseur’s trek — a 14-day journey around the world’s eighth-highest mountain through remote villages, ancient monasteries, and landscapes that rival the Annapurna Circuit but with a fraction of the trekkers.
Restricted until 1991, the Manaslu region retains a wild, untouched quality. The trail follows the Budhi Gandaki gorge through dense forests and past thundering waterfalls, climbing steadily to the Tibetan-influenced villages of the Nubri and Tsum valleys. The crossing of Larkya La Pass (5,160m) is a dramatic high point, with views of Manaslu itself and the surrounding peaks.
