The itinerary

    Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

    Your adventure begins upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, where our friendly representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, you’ll have some time to unwind and relax. Later, there will be a detailed briefing about the upcoming trek, where you will learn about the terrain, weather conditions, and necessary preparations. In the evening, you have the opportunity to explore the lively streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s vibrant tourist district, filled with shops, cafes, and local attractions that give you a first taste of Nepal’s unique culture and ambiance.

    Day 2

    Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

    Today, you will delve into Kathmandu’s rich cultural heritage. A guided tour will take you to some of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the famous Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), perched atop a hill offering panoramic views of the city, the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal, and the revered Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world. These historical landmarks are not only stunning but offer a deep insight into Nepal’s religious and cultural traditions. After sightseeing, there will be time to finalize your trek preparations, ensuring you have all the necessary gear, permits, and information for the journey ahead.

    Day 3

    Drive to Soti Khola (700m) – 8-9 hours

    After an early breakfast, we set off on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, the starting point of our trek. The drive takes us through winding mountain roads, passing lush landscapes, terraced fields, and rural villages. Along the way, we enjoy mesmerizing views of the Trishuli River, which we follow for a while. The drive is long, but the scenery more than compensates for the time spent on the road. Upon arrival at Soti Khola, we check into a teahouse for a restful night before beginning our trekking adventure in earnest.

    Day 4

    Trek to Machha Khola (869m) – 6-7 hours

    The journey begins with a pleasant walk through dense Sal forests and across suspension bridges. We pass through the small village of Lapubesi and continue on the trail, descending to a wide, sandy riverbed. The trek follows the river and meanders through beautiful terrain, offering views of waterfalls and rural settlements. As we continue, we gradually ascend, arriving at Machha Khola, a tranquil village nestled along the Budhi Gandaki River. Here, we spend the night at a local teahouse.

    Day 5

    Trek to Jagat (1,340m) – 6-7 hours

    The trek continues along the Budhi Gandaki River, crossing several suspension bridges and small villages, including Khorla Besi and Tatopani. The path can be challenging at times, particularly as we cross a landslide-prone area and navigate a steep section of the trail. Once we reach Jagat, a charming village, we settle in for the night. The village is an excellent place to rest and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and forests.

    Day 6

    Trek to Deng (1,860m) – 6-7 hours

    Entering the Manaslu Conservation Area today, the landscape becomes even more dramatic. The trail ascends through subtropical forests, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We pass through several villages, including Salleri, Sirdibas, and Philim, where we stop to take in the local culture and rural life. After crossing a few bridges and terraced fields, we reach Deng, a peaceful village where we will rest for the night.

    Day 7

    Trek to Namrung (2,630m) – 6-7 hours

    Today’s trek takes us through dense forests and picturesque villages, including Ghap and Prok. The trail offers stunning views of Siringi Himal and other snow-capped peaks. As we ascend, we pass through Tibetan-influenced villages and cross several bridges before reaching Namrung, a village rich in Tibetan culture and traditions. This is a great place to explore local customs and interact with the friendly locals. We spend the night here, soaking in the beautiful mountain views and local atmosphere.

    Day 8

    Trek to Samagaon (3,530m) – 6-7 hours

    The trek today is a gradual ascent through forests, meadows, and pastures. Along the way, we are treated to views of Manaslu and other peaks that continue to grow closer as we approach our destination. The trail passes through the villages of Lho and Shyala, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Eventually, we reach Samagaon, a picturesque village located at the base of Manaslu. This serene spot offers a chance to relax and take in the stunning surroundings.

    Day 9

    Acclimatization Day in Samagaon

    Acclimatization is crucial at higher altitudes to prevent altitude sickness. Today, we take a rest day in Samagaon to adjust to the elevation. You have the option to hike to Manaslu Base Camp or visit Pungyen Gompa, a beautiful monastery perched above the village. Both excursions offer breathtaking views of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks. This day also gives you the chance to explore Samagaon’s Tibetan-influenced culture and enjoy the tranquility of this stunning village.

    Day 10

    Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) and Return to Samagaon – 7-8 hours

    Today is one of the highlights of the trek as we hike to Manaslu Base Camp. The trail is rugged and winds through rocky terrain and glacial moraines. The journey provides some of the most stunning views of Manaslu and its surrounding peaks. After reaching the base camp and spending some time soaking in the majestic views, we retrace our steps back to Samagaon for the night, reflecting on the beauty of the place.

    Day 11

    Trek to Samdo (3,860m) – 4-5 hours

    Leaving Samagaon, the trail gradually ascends through yak pastures and crosses several bridges. We enjoy spectacular views of surrounding peaks and continue our journey towards the Tibetan-influenced village of Samdo. This small settlement offers a peaceful atmosphere and great views of the surrounding mountains, providing an ideal spot for the night.

    Day 12

    Trek to Dharamsala/Larkya Phedi (4,460m) – 4-5 hours

    Today, we continue our ascent towards Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Phedi, the final settlement before the Larkya La Pass. The trail takes us through rivers, ridges, and rocky terrain, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Dharamsala is a small high-altitude settlement that serves as a rest point for trekkers preparing to cross the Larkya La Pass.

    Day 13

    Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160m) and Trek to Bimthang (3,720m) – 7-9 hours

    Today is the most challenging but rewarding day of the trek as we cross the Larkya La Pass. Starting early to avoid adverse weather, we make our way to the pass, which offers panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and several other peaks. After reaching the summit, we begin our descent to Bimthang, a beautiful valley surrounded by peaks, where we will spend the night.

    Day 14

    Trek to Tilije (2,300m) – 5-6 hours

    The trail today descends through lush forests and pastures, passing the village of Gho before reaching Tilije. The route offers continuous views of the mountains and a glimpse of the changing landscapes as we move from high-altitude terrain to more temperate forests and fields.

    Day 15

    Trek to Dharapani (1,860m) – 5-6 hours

    Continuing our descent, we join the Annapurna Circuit trail and pass through rhododendron forests and traditional villages. The landscape continues to shift, and we eventually reach Dharapani, a key junction for trekkers, where we can rest and prepare for the next phase of our journey.

    Day 16

    Drive to Besisahar and then to Kathmandu – 8-9 hours

    After a long but scenic drive from Dharapani to Besisahar, we continue the journey back to Kathmandu. The drive is a relaxing way to reflect on the unforgettable experiences of the trek. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for some rest and relaxation.

    Day 17

    Departure from Kathmandu

    On the final day of the trip, you can enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Later, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey, taking with you memories of a lifetime.
