    Mountain flight, then into the walled gateway of Upper Mustang.

    Chele to Syangboche

    Canyon trails past crimson cliffs and chortens.

    Ghami & the long mani wall

    Nepal’s longest prayer wall under 8,000-metre peaks.

    Tsarang

    A medieval fortress-monastery and apple orchards.

    Lo Manthang

    Enter the walled capital; audience at the royal palace square.
